I Don’t Know Why You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello

Hello my friends,

Did you like my last post? I figured I would start the new year off with a good story/lesson.

How weird it is to write that down. 2015 felt like one of the longest years of my life. Although, I probably say that about every year, 2015 was pretty crazy. Here’s a little timeline to refresh…

+Fresh out of a relationship and partying my life (and heartbreak away).

+Moves to my very own apartment on Palm Beach island.

+Gets a “normal” job for the first time, like, ever.

+Meets a boy.

-February 2015

+Boy says those three little words 2.5 weeks into the relationship.

+Travels with Boy to Boston for his cousin’s wedding. Meets Boy’s large, Italian family.

-March 2015

+Starts a blog called, TheRetiredModels.com

-April 2015

+Blog becomes wildly successful overnight.

+Turns twenty!!

+Lands a job at a law firm(that I really wasn’t qualified for but got it anyway).

-May 2015

+Continues to grow blog.

+Partners in said law firm decide to disband so I go with one of them.

+Gets promoted!

+Goes back to NYC for the first time since leaving 8 months earlier.

+Falls more and more in love with The Boy.

+Invited to NYFW to report on shows and events.

-September 2015

+Makes progress with setting up TV show with the producer.

+Continues to travel back-and-forth between NYC and Florida.

-October 2015

+Has emotional breakdown.

+Stops writing and falls into depression.

-November 2015

+Still suffering from the breakdown, calls off the TV show and shuts the blog down.

+The Boy buys a new house that we move into.

+Decides to get my life back on track.

-December 2015

+Lands a corporate job in the hospitality industry.

+Has intense fight with The Boy and moves out of the house.

+Moves back in a week later, realizing how much I truly love The Boy.

+Offered my dream job (working for a high-end jeweler who is going to teach me the business and pay me to write!) and ditch the corporate life.

+Celebrates the New Year with my best friends in my cozy home.

It’s only the 4th day into the new year so I’m still wrapping my head around the fact. But I can feel it. It’s going to be a good year.

See, 2015 taught me many things. For one, I learned to love again. After having my heart shattered, The Boy picked up the pieces and made me whole again. Also, I learned to seize the day. Sure, I had some bumps in the road and panic attack here -and-there but I don’t regret any of it. I had fun the whole time and it’s brought me to where I am now.

I’m a happy little thing.
